Vet Visit

When Lillian turned five months old I took her to get spayed. That was probably one of the hardest things I have had to do so far. Oh my gosh, when I dropped her off at the vet I felt so bad because I knew what was going to happen. Maybe it was harder on me then Lilly Belle. Anyway, she had to stay over night to make sure everything was okay. It was so weird not having her there with me that night.

I felt super bad for taking her to the vet and having her girl parts basically just ripped out of her, so I bought her two new toys to play with once she recovered. These are the two little toys I got, a cute mouse and butterfly.

This is a picture that I took as soon as I brought Lilly Belle back home. She ran right to her new toys and started playing with them. She was such a trooper! It was like she didn't even have surgery, I was so proud of her.

This was her little belly where the vet had to shave it in order to do the surgery. Thankfully it has grown back and it is almost to its original length. The two days after she had her surgery, she was running around like normal and playing with her toys. Which the vet said would probably happen. Then the third day... there was a crash.

Poor Lillian. This was obviously her crash. The vet said this would also be normal so I was not too worried. Although I did feel terribly bad for her. These pictures do make me giggle slightly just because her nose is mushed to the bed and she is all stretched out.

The good news is, it has been a little over a month since her surgery and she is all better! Her surgery incision is healed and she is not in any pain. Even better news, she still loves me even though I left her at the vet to get her lady parts removed. All is great with Lilly Belle!

Homework Helper

For some strange reason Lillian always likes to try and help me with homework. Well she thinks she is helping. Really she is not, she is only making it impossible to actually do my homework. Don't get me wrong, it is extremely cute but at the same time I can't work on assignments with her on top of them.

This picture was taken when I was trying to study for my Sociology test and Lilly Belle decided she would drop her toy mouse on my paper and sprawl out on my study guide... thanks Lillian. It did make me laugh to see how laid back she was and how she did not care at all that I was trying to read that paper and study.

If you cannot tell, Lillian is sitting on my laptop. This time I was trying to type my response paper for an English class. She just decided to jump up and make herself a little seat out of my computer. You also probably notice her cute little shirt. I am going to be honest with you right now, that is really an extra small dog shirt from Walmart! I could not pass it up.

Whatever I am working on, Lilly Belle finds a way to "help" me out with it. In fact as I was typing the beginning of this post, she tried to climb on the laptop again and her paw hit "33333333333333". Maybe she was trying to write a little piece herself? Who knows with her.

One Cool Cat

Lillian is not only a goofball, and a mama's girl, but she is also a pretty cool cat. She enjoys lounging around the house and dressing up in awesome clothes, handmade I might add! I think her fellow house mate, who is a pug named Booda, may even get a tad jealous of just how cool Lillian is.

I found Lilly Belle on top of the computer cabinet while my mom and I were cleaning and baking. This cabinet is pretty tall too, she had to jump from the top of the table to get up there. When I looked behind me this is obviously what I saw. She was just hanging out and enjoying the view.

I know I am biased, but she is so so so cute! This is a tutu that Lillian is modeling. I do not know many cats that will wear clothes and not care. Ms. Lilly Belle on the other hand is perfectly fine with strutting around in her beautiful tutu. I actually found how to make this tutu from a tutorial that was so super easy! If you would like to check it out, click on this.

This is her house mate, Booda. They get along.. to an extent. He does slightly get envious of how cool Lillian is though. I can totally understand why Booda tends to be a little jealous at times. Lillian is trying to show Booda the ins and outs of coolness nowadays.

Goofball

I don't even know where to begin to tell you how goofy Ms. Lilly Belle is. She is definitely one hilarious cat. There was one time when she was just curled up on my lap and I barely moved my foot, and she pounced and started attacking it!

Haha, this one makes me laugh. I found her sound asleep in her little bed. How could she even be comfortable with her head not even on the bed?! She is so silly.

There was another time where I caught her chasing her tail around. I am not even joking, a cat was chasing her tail just like a dog would! It was so funny to watch. Never in my life have I witnessed a feline chase their tail, until I saw Lillian do it.

Here is yet another reason why I think Lillian is such a little goofball. In this picture you can obviously see that she is standing on her hind legs just as a meerkat would. She stands like this all of the time. It cracks me up every time too.

She is not the only goofball though. She learned from the best and I give her props for her goofiness. I like to be a little silly sometimes too, who doesn't? It is fun! I guess it is a purrfect match with Lillian and I.

Mama's Girl

As you may know by now, I am slightly an obsessive cat lady. Not really, but kind of. I mean I don't have millions of cats... just one, my Lilly Belle. So technically I am not to the full crazy cat lady stage yet. Phew!

Well Lillian and I enjoy little photo shoots together. Let me just show you some of our cute pictures together.

In this picture, I'm sure it is easy to see how photogenic we both are. She has gotten used to tons of pictures. Lilly Belle is basically a cat model now.

I took this picture of us when we were watching the Super Bowl. This was Lillian's first Super Bowl as well as her first trip to a new place besides the vet and my house. So exciting!

This picture was taken the other day when I was trying to work on some homework. As you can see, Lillian had other plans which involved cuddling. She must have sensed I was needing a little break.

Oh my goodness, this is one of my favorite pictures of both of us. I was getting ready to lay down for bed, and Lilly Belle decided to be all cute and curl up on me. How could I not take a picture of this? It just makes me happy whenever I look at it.

After looking at all of the pictures, you can definitely tell Lillian is a mama's girl. ;)

Meeting the Boyfriend

So my boyfriend's name is Keegan, and he was never a cat person.. at all. Until he met Lillian. He was not able to meet her until after a few days of her living at her new place with me. I would send him pictures of her, but as we all know pictures do not do justice to the real deal.

The first time he met her... he instantly loved her. From that day on she had him wrapped around her little paw. Lillian on the other hand was not quite sure what to think about another new human to get used to.

After the initial meeting, she ended up liking him as well. But let me just tell you how much my boyfriend truly loves Lillian. Now every time he comes over, the first thing he does is ask where Lilly Belle is. If I already have Lillian with me, he takes her away and kisses her. He does not greet me until he has had his "Lilly Time".

This is a picture that Keegan took while in my room... and with my cat. Not that I mind at all, I actually think that it is very cute. I just think it is funny that Keegan used to hate cats and then he met Lillian and fell in love with her. He even bought her a new collar and a toy! This is where he bought the collar. It is a a breakaway collar which is great for cats because if it happens to get caught on something, it will break off of them so they do not get hurt. It is an awesome investment if you are looking for a cat collar.

Lillian really loves her Keegan now. They are best buds and I love it! I think I can get used to the three of us pretty quick. It is a nice little almost family.

Hakuna Matata

After a few weeks of getting used to the new environment, Lillian started to really show her true personality. One of the many things she loves to do is watch movies with the family. Lillian's absolute favorite movie is The Lion King. I personally think it is because she believes that she is just like Simba. It seems she has a pretty high self-esteem.

Sorry about the poor lighting in the picture, but as you can see Lilly Belle is pretty into this movie. Climbing all over the TV stand. What a wild cat!

Yes, she is on her hind legs totally enjoying her favorite movie. I told ya! She is seriously in love with The Lion King. Lillian has other movies she enjoys to watch as well such as Footloose, Magic Mike, and The Lucky One just to name a few. She is definitely a movie loving cat, and I do not mind that one bit!

The Beautiful Beginning

How it all started...

This little cutie was a Christmas present from my wonderful parents. Oh my goodness let me just tell you, when I found out I was getting a kitten... I may have cried. But I think it was because I just had something in my eye. That is what I am going with at least. My parents may tell you a slightly different story.

Anyway back to Lillian...

When my family and I went to pick her up I knew she was the one I wanted as soon as I saw her. It was almost like love at first sight. Seriously, as soon as I picked her up I would not set her down. I might be a crazy slightly obsessive cat lady.. but I am okay with it.

When I took her home with me and she was so scared. She hid under my bed for the longest time. Finally she came out and played with her new adopted mom-- me!

How stinkin' cute is she?! Just a little pipsqueak. Well it took her a while to get used to her new home and family. But when she got comfortable man it was like she was a princess that could do whatever she wanted, when she wanted. She was also very spoiled.. but hey, somebody has to be right?

Lillian soon made herself right at home and took a nice cat-nap. That is one thing she absolutely loves to do. If there was a sleeping competition Lilly would win hands down. There is no exaggeration when people talk about their cat sleeping all the time. It is totally true.
